Writing Crypto Deception: A Survivor’s Guide to Avoiding Scams required me to revisit an experience marked by trust, manipulation, financial loss, and emotional betrayal.
I did not write this book because I had all the answers. I wrote it because I learned, painfully, how convincing a scam can become when it is built around patience, personal attention, urgency, and false opportunity.
Scammers do not always appear threatening. They may arrive as a friendly message, an attractive stranger, a trusted adviser, or someone offering help after the damage has already been done. Their methods are designed to lower defenses, create emotional attachment, and make unreasonable decisions feel sensible.
